Quick and safe transport processes in narrow aisles
The P20 electric tow tractor and the W04 platform truck feature a particularly slender design. Direct, responsive steering makes tight turns possible. As a result, these tow tractors are perfect for transport processes in narrow aisles and tight spaces. Ergonomic working conditions are ensured, for example thanks to the height-adjustable seat. The seat also folds up and down. This allows the driver to control the tow tractor from either a standing or seated position. The P20 and W04 can pull a maximum load of two tons. There is also a different version of the W04 model available with a platform that has a load capacity of up to 400 kilograms.
Although the chassis is compact and narrow, the operator is still protected while driving and always remains within the rounded confines of the truck. This is due in part to the two-handled ergonomic steering unit, which prevents wide-sweeping steering movements and also protects the hands. The tow tractor also features an automatic parking brake that prevents it from accidentally rolling. Both tow tractor models have an optional knee protection pad available. There is also a different version of the model that comes with more ground clearance, which prevents the bottom of the truck from coming into contact with the road; for example, when the tow tractor is driving in open spaces and has to deal with uneven surfaces and/or ramps.
- Protective chassis design
- Two-handled steering unit design
- Automatic parking brake
- Optional knee protection pad
When driving longer distances, the driver can take advantage of the height-adjustment feature of the seat: if needed, the driver can fold the seat down and continue to drive comfortably in a seated position. The height of the steering unit can also be adjusted to make operation easier. Large storage compartments are located on top of the battery cover and under the seat. This allows the driver to have his or her tools close at hand. A low step makes it easy to get in and out of the truck.
- Folding driver's seat with adjustable height
- Large storage compartments
- Height-adjustable steering unit
The electric tow tractor and platform truck are only 600 millimeters wide. The large steering unit makes the trucks easier to control. The construction of the front axle allows the trucks to maneuver tight turns. . With a 1.5-kW three-phase motor, the trucks are able to accelerate to their maximum speed quickly and continuously – even when towing a load.
- Narrow outer dimensions
- Powerful 1.5 kW three-phase motors
- Precise steering
- Tight turning radius
To check the central data of the truck, the service technician does not have to open any kind of cover: P20 and W04 use the CAN bus system to connect to a laptop. The technician can then precisely match the data obtained with the appropriate application. All relevant truck components can be accessed very quickly and easily. The three-phase motor is dust- and water-resistant and maintenance-free. This reduces the amount of time and energy spent on service.
- Service check using the CAN bus interface
- Maintenance-free three-phase motor
- Easy access to the components
The side mirrors are located on the left and right sides of the truck. This gives the driver a better view of his or her surroundings.
Linde equips the tow tractors with different types of hitches, custom-fit to the carriers in the tugger train.
More ground clearance prevents the bottom of the truck from coming into contact with the ground; for example, when the tow tractor is driving on very uneven surfaces.
The pads are located in the truck's interior and protect the knees from hard or sudden braking, for example.
The charger is integrated into the truck. This allows the tow tractor's battery to charge from anywhere and saves space.
Position lights, working lights and turn signals ensure additional safety and better working conditions.
Before the driver can start the truck, he or she must enter a PIN code. Otherwise, the truck will not start. This is to prevent improper use of the truck.
