The new P30 C and P50 C tow tractors from Linde Material Handling
Linde Material Handling will be introducing yet another truck innovation at the CeMAT trade fair in Hanover with the new P30 C and P50 C tow tractors for towed loads of 3 or 5 tonnes.
The operating unit, driver's standing platform and backrest form a solid U-shaped unit that is fully suspended and detached from the chassis. This solution, which is unique within the industry, makes it possible to absorb the jolts caused by uneven surfaces and significantly reduce the driver's exposure to human vibrations. Driving becomes easier and more comfortable, and the operator is protected and tires less quickly. The tractor's compact dimensions make it ideal for use in production logistics in the automotive sector and supplier industries.

The U-shaped, suspended platform unit of the new Linde tow tractors P30 C and P50 C (consisting of operating console, backrest and driver's standing plat-form) significantly reduce the driver's exposure to human vibrations.
Safe, powerful, comfortable, reliable and easy to service: these characteristics apply to both tow tractor models and ensure that the vehicles are even more efficient when put into service. The operator will notice a significant increase in comfort thanks to the new platform unit. The height-adjustable operating console, height-adjustable backrest (up to 20 cm adjustment range) and driver's standing platform together form a single U-shaped, suspended unit. The benefits of the shock absorption are particularly noticeable over long distances and uneven surfaces. The driver is protected and is able to maintain concentration over longer periods.
At 1500 mm long and 790 mm wide, both the P30 C and the P50 C can be used in very narrow aisles. The agility and manoeuvrability of these tow tractors is demonstrated by the fact that they can turn on the spot. Because the driver's standing platform is right next to the tow coupling, the operator can also easily attach and detach the towed loads from the cockpit by using an optional remote release. The tow tractors are driven by a 3kW three-phase AC motor, which can handle towed loads of 3 or 5 tonnes. Customers can choose from batteries with capacities of up to 620 Ah, which are also suitable for multi-shift use without intermediate charging of the battery.
The safety of the driver is ensured thanks to the compact design of the patented Linde steering unit. The driver's body stays within the frame of the vehicle during all steering movements, thus eliminating the risk of injury. The automatic self-centring functionality fitted as standard returns the steering unit to the straight-ahead position once it is released, making it even easier to work in narrow aisles. The vehicles also boast additional safety features such as ergonomic grips with hand protection and stable impact protection.
These two tow tractors therefore offer enhanced working efficiency, while also being cost effective. Following each service interval of 1000 operating hours, all of the vehicle data can be read out and checked thanks to the vehicles' CAN bus structure. Easy-to-access components and maintenance-free three-phase AC technology, not to mention the robust design, ensure excellent availability and serviceability.
