The rotatable driver's workstation

Linde Material Handling - Flash cannot be displayed.

The rotatable driver's workstation received an award from trade magazine MM Logistik at CeMAT 2011 thanks to the outstanding visibility it offers the driver when moving large and view-obstructing loads while driving in reverse.

The workstation can be rotated by up to 90° from the driving direction; not only does this workstation increase driver visibility considerably, but it also reduces health risks by placing less strain on the musculoskeletal system.

This means that drivers no longer have to twist their spine excessively to increase visibility, thus preventing the driver from suffering from fatigue and other health issues.

Performance
Excellent visibility and therefore ideal for all applications involving moving large and view-obstructing loads.

User-friendliness
Comfortable driver position with low strain on the musculoskeletal system and simple, fast and intuitive operation.

Durability
Robust mechanical design.

Versatile
Available in a wide range of variants for different driver sizes and truck models.

Safety
Thanks to the outstanding visibility conditions, the rotating driver's workstation provides a higher level of safety alongside increased productivity.

Unique ergonomics — according to BGHW (Berufsgenossenschaft Handel und Warendistribution — government safety organisation for retail and the distribution of goods

Measurements taken by the BGHW as part of a risk assessment of forklift driver when driving in reverse in a real customer operation (according to standards ISO/CD 11226 and DIN EN 1005-4) show that driver posture is significantly improved by using a rotable driver’s workstation that has been rotated 90° from the driving direction.

From the postures investigated, it was determined that there was a significant reduction in health risk, in terms of the aforementioned standards, as a result of less strain being exerted on the musculoskeletal system.
