Maximum transport capacity with a small footprint
The LT10 WX tugger train trailers are the ideal solution for standardized tasks where large quantities of goods need to be transported. Their innovative scissor tiller mechanism enables up to eight trailers to be towed at a time without taking up significantly more space than conventional tugger trains. This compact design significantly increases the material throughput per journey and reduces the number of towing vehicles required. The result is less internal traffic and lower energy consumption, which noticeably reduces operating costs. The trailers are primarily designed for indoor use, but can also be used outdoors if the surface is suitable, for example for transport between halls. With a load capacity of 1,000 kg per trailer and the flexibility to accommodate either full or half-size standard trolleys, the LT10 WX offers a high transport capacity with a small footprint. The choice between hydraulic and electric lifting mechanism as well as the possibility of loading and unloading from both sides make the trailers a versatile solution for supplying production and assembly lines according to just-in-time and just-in-sequence principles.
Characteristics
Safety
The safety equipment of the LT10 WX trailers guarantees reliable protection in all driving and loading situations. When the frame is lowered, the immobilizer prevents the tugger train from moving. Once inserted, each trolley is secured by a patented locking system. If the operator fails to position one of the trolleys correctly, an additional locking mechanism engages after the lift activation, guaranteeing reliable and safe transportation. The optional locking monitoring assistance system further increases safety. A clearly visible traffic light on the towing vehicle informs the driver whether all load carriers have been positioned and locked correctly in the frame. If the traffic light is green, all the trolleys are correctly secured and the towing vehicle can start. When the traffic light is red, the system prevents the vehicle from moving off until all the trolleys are safely positioned. During operation, the frame lowering mechanism is deactivated. The dynamic scissor tiller ensures that the trailers precisely follow the route taken by the towing vehicle, preventing the transport frames from bumping into each other during the journey. The small distance between the trailers also reliably dissuades people from entering this gap and injuring themselves.
- Traveling prevention while frame is lowered
- Two locking mechanisms reliably secure the trolleys
- Optional assistance system for locking monitoring
- Lowering mechanism deactivated while driving
- Collision protection on bends thanks to scissor tiller
Ergonomics
Every aspect of the LT10 WX tugger trains trailers has been designed to ensure that they are ergonomic to use and minimize the physical strain for the operator. The trolleys lock automatically as soon as they are inserted (with no need for any manual intervention) and the unlocking mechanism is conveniently mounted at an ergonomic height where it can be operated by foot. As soon as the driver steps onto the platform of the towing vehicle, the trailers are raised automatically, completely eliminating the need for manual lifting. The trough-shaped design of the trailers ensures that the trolleys slide into the correct position without any effort as soon as they have passed the apex. The side guide profiles help to ensure trolleys can be inserted into the trailer mount quickly and precisely, reducing the physical strain on the operator. The short overall length of the tugger train means that the driver has to cover less distance when walking between the towing vehicle and the trailers.
- Automatic locking without any manual effort
- Foot-operated unlocking mechanism at an ergonomic height
- Automatic raising of the trailers when stepping onto the driver’s platform
- Easy loading as a result of the trough design and guide profiles
- Reduced walking distances due to compact train configuration
Handling
The LT10 WX offers exceptional efficiency and maneuverability. While conventional tugger trains are limited to four to six trailers, the LT10 WX can transport up to eight at a time. Its special scissor tiller reduces the distance between the trailers, resulting in a 20 percent higher transport capacity with the same train length. The low turning space requirement of just 4.5 meters with six trailers and 4.7 meters with eight trailers means that the tugger train can negotiate very tight bends even when fully loaded, making it easy to maneuver even in the smallest of spaces. The scissor tiller and the way the wheels are set back help to ensure precise tracking behavior and excellent directional stability. The low service weight of the load frame also allows the tractor to travel faster, significantly increasing the handling capacity. The frames can be loaded and unloaded from both sides for maximum process flexibility while the trailers’ automatic lifting and lowering function significantly speeds up the entire handling process. The frames can be used with full-size (1,200 x 800 mm or 1,200 x 1,000 mm) and half-size standard trolleys (800 x 600 mm or 1,000 x 600 mm).
- Up to 8 trailers for higher transport volumes
- Low turning space requirement for maneuverability in tight spaces
- Precise tracking behavior and directional stability
- Automatic lifting and lowering speeds up and simplifies the handling process
- Low service weight for faster driving speeds
- Loading and unloading of the frames from both sides
Service
Their simple, predominantly mechanical design with minimal electronics enables the robust LT10 WX to impress with high reliability and long operating times. The trailers come with an emergency lever as standard, which enables the frames to be lifted manually even without power. The service-friendly locking mechanism makes maintenance quick and easy. In the optional version with the electric lifting mechanism, the durable lift motors and a maintenance-free power chain further help to reduce the amount of servicing required. A QR code on the type plate gives service technicians direct access to trailer-specific spare parts lists and operating instructions to speed up and simplify maintenance and repair work considerably.

Electric Lifting Mechanism
The loading frames are available with a hydraulic lifting system as standard. They can also be equipped with an electric lifting mechanism as an option.
Safety Flags
Two safety flags ensure that the loading frames are clearly visible at all times – especially when driving with little or no load.
Connecting hose with stopcock
If the stopcock is closed for hydraulic systems when the frames are lifted, the frames will remain in this position to make it easy to unhitch the towing vehicle.
Assistance system for locking monitoring
The system uses sensors to detect whether a trolley is correctly inserted and locked. A traffic light mounted on the towing vehicle informs the driver and prevents further travel until all trolleys have been secured.
Trolleys
Linde has a range of trolley designs for a wide variety of loads for all tugger train models. They can be equipped with modular racking superstructures, for example.
